IOS helps clean Royal British Legion Memorial

Peterhead-based Independent Oilfield Services (IOS) has team up with SURELIFT (UK) Ltd to help with the tidying and cleaning of the Royal British Legion Memorial Cairn, which sits on the former World War II site at Longside Airfield.

IOS and SURELIFT were recently approached by Doug Grant, Chairman of the RBL Longside branch who asked if they would be willing to help in any way towards cleaning and tidying of the memorial.

IOS business development manager, Glynn Geddie, said: “We were delighted to have been asked to help with this project. The Memorial Cairn is an important place to remember those who served at Longside Airfield during WW II and our small contribution helps ensure the cairn remains a special place to visit.”

Doug Grant, Chariman of the Longside branch of the Royal British Legion, added: “We are grateful for the help both IOS and SURELIFT have offered. Both companies were very enthusiastic when approached, and we can only thank them for their generosity.”
