IOS strengthens management team with key appointment

A leading North-east storage and inspection firm has appointed a new management accountant to strengthen its services.

Independent Oilfield Services (IOS), which has drawn upon 20 years experience in OCTG and drillpipe inspection, has appointed Tracy Gove to enhance its accounts team following its launch earlier this year.

Miss Gove has over 25 years experience in accounting, having built a solid base of knowledge in her field. She will support IOS’ finance director by supervising the account function, producing monthly & annual accounts and overseeing company budgets.

Symon Wadsworth, finance director at IOS, said: “We are delighted to have Tracy on board and she will be of great assistance in the accounting function of IOS. Her vast industry experience will be an asset to the company as we continue to work in an efficient manner, providing a quality service to our clients.”

Miss Gove added: “I’m really looking forward to working for IOS and playing a part in helping a young company grow. Having worked for a major service company and accountancy firms in the past, I have been able to build on my knowledge and apply my skillset to various positions in my field. IOS is an exciting new challenge for me as I look forward to strengthening the team here and assisting with its plans for growth.”

IOS has a 50-acre tubular supply base located only four miles from Peterhead Port, with its accounts team located at its sales office in Aberdeen City Centre.
