North-east storage and inspection firm enhances accounts team

A leading North-east storage and inspection firm has enhanced its accounts team after announcing its plans for growth.

Independent Oilfield Services (IOS), which was established in 2014, has appointed Holly Dalgarno as an accounts assistant after it reported its £10million investment in its tubular supply base in Peterhead.

Miss Dalgarno, who brings over six years experience to the team, was appointed to support Tracy Gove, the firm’s management accountant, following plans to invest and further develop its storage and inspection yard.

Based at IOS’ Aberdeen City Centre office, Miss Dalgarno will be responsible for the firm’s credit control and payroll, having previously worked in HR and accounts positions in the oil and gas industry.

Symon Wadsworth, finance director at IOS, said: “As IOS continues to grow, it is important that we have the personnel and resources available to ensure our operations run smoothly and efficiently. This is why it was imperative for us to increase our accounts team and appoint Holly to assist in the day-to-day running of the business.”

Miss Dalgarno added: “Having been in the company for a few weeks now I can see there is a lot of opportunity here for the business to continue growing and servicing the North sea sector. I’m excited to be a part of this and look forward to what the future might bring.”

IOS was recently awarded planning permission by Aberdeenshire Council to press ahead with proposals to invest £10million to develop a further 30 acres of its 80-acre site. With the new developments due to complete in the second quarter of 2016, new jobs are in the pipeline, with plans to increase its workforce further.
