Storage and inspection firm awarded ISO 9001

North-east storage and inspection firm has been awarded an internationally recognised certification, due to its commitment in delivering a quality service.

Independent Oilfield Services (IOS), which has drawn upon 20 years experience in OCTG and drillpipe inspection, secured its ISO 9001 accreditation following a comprehensive audit by DNV GL, which assessed its quality systems and processes in the organisation.

ISO 9001 is the world’s most recognised quality management standard for organisations that prove their ability to consistently provide products and services that meet the needs of their customers and other relevant stakeholders. The standard is based on a number of quality management principles including a strong customer focus, leadership, involvement of people, the process approach and continual improvement.

Symon Wadsworth, finance director at IOS, said: “Securing this ISO certification is a great achievement for IOS as we are preparing to launch our brand new tubular facility near Peterhead Port. Our commitment to providing an excellent service for our clients is crucial to our success and this certification highlights that we have the capability to do so.”
